MRA Hands-Over the Remainder of Relief Supplies to EPG Disaster Committee

The Mineral Resources Authority (MRA) yesterday, handed-over the remainder of the K200, 000.00 worth of relief supplies for the Mulitaka landslide victims, to the Enga Provincial Disaster Committee in Wabag.

This follows the delivery of a small component of the supplies on May 31, to Yambali village, where the landslide occurred on May 24. Yesterday’s presentation of the goods by the MRA’s Project Coordinator for the Porgera Project, Joe Kak Ryangao, was received by Enga Provincial Government Officer Ben Saret, on behalf of the Provincial Administration and its Disaster Committee.

When receiving the goods, Mr Saret thanked the MRA’s Managing Director Jerry Garry, and its management, for contributing to the relief efforts during the province’s time of need. He said disasters like the landslide occur when we least expect them and that the supplies would go a long way in helping the people of Yambali village.
