Library Information & Data Sales

This is the first point of contact for any potential investors coming into Papua New Guinea with an intention to conduct businesses in the mining sector. We can direct you to persons, organizations and provide necessary data and information to start the process of doing business in Papua New Guinea. We also assist non investors with basic information relating to earth sciences, mineral elements, exploration & mining, in Papua New Guinea. We service customers from the Library and Data Sales room.

The Library

This is the only library in Papua New Guinea that holds archival exploration reports, some dating back to the 1950s. We have approximately 15,000 volumes of hardcopies and virtual copies of these, and we are continually adding reports to this volume as relinquished exploration licenses become available for achieving. We also have other historical documents and earth sciences related text books, technical reports and almanacs.

Currently, customers can only access these reports by visiting the library. We have initiated a project to get these accessible online, as soon the Bibliography is updated and functional.

Data Sales

The MRA holds various types of data as “Pointers” or “Indicators” for those that wish to explore for various mineral elements in the country. These are sold over the counter from the Mining Haus. Either the customers can come in person or by email. The process is simple
